UAE, Colombia sign agreement to exempt diplomats from visa


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al- Nahyan signed here Saturday with Colombian counterpart Maria Angela Holguin an exemption visa agreement for diplomatic, special and official passports.

The two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding to create a joint committee between two countries as well as another memorandum of understanding on political consultations, according to the UAE foreign ministry statement.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah expressed hope that the Colombian minister's visit would strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations, joint cooperation on development and progress, statement added.

They both exchanged views on the latest and current developments on the regional and international levels, in addition in discussing a number of issues of common concern.

Columbian Minister confirmed hope that the UAE will open new horizons for bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
