5.6 Quake Rattles Peru's Capital Without Damage


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)  A light-to-moderate earthquake centered in the ocean south of Lima rattled Peru's capital Friday evening. No injuries or damage was reported.
The 5.6 magnitude was centered 48 miles (78 kilometers) south-southeast of Lima and was 28 miles (45 kilometers) deep, AP quoted the U.S. Geological Survey as saying.
The tremor struck at 7:18 p.m. local time.
