(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, delivered the speech of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the G20 Summit currently held in Brisbane, Australia.
The Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and expressed his thanks and appreciation to the State of Australia for its efforts to strengthen the role of the group of the G20 which is the main forum for the economic cooperation among its members in serving the common aim of achieving a balanced, strong, and sustainable, global economic growth.
Crown Prince Salman also pointed out that the slow pace of the global economic recovery, in addition to serious rise in risks, do require the maintenance and implementation of economic policies along with the supporting structural reforms that serve growth.
The Crown Prince stressed that there is a close tie between economic growth and world peace; one cannot be achieved without the other, he said. He called on all for cooperation to address issues that pose threats to peace, such as reaching a settlement for the Arab-Israeli conflict and the Syrian crisis.
The Crown Prince welcomed the consensus to establish confidence in the global economy, stressing the need for full implementation of the G20 comprehensive strategies.
