Bahrain to Host 42nd General Assembly Meeting of Arab News Agencies


(MENAFN- QNA) Manama will host on November 24 and 25 the 42nd Conference of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA).

Acting Director of Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Muhannad Suleiman Al-Nuaimi expressed the hope that the 24th meeting of the Conference of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) would be successful and reflect positively on the drive of federation's activities after four decades have elapsed since its foundation.

He also hoped that participants would succeed in their efforts to face the challenges which are the focus of the Arab news agency's attention amid the big changes seen in the field of media in region and worldwide.

Al-Nuaimi said the agenda of the meeting includes a host of issues that require exchange of views among heads of Arab news agencies that aim at promoting the media activity on one hand the organizing and revitalization the frameworks of cooperation and joint action among FANA members in the light of the successive international developments on the other.

He added that the conference, in its second day, will feature the opening of the exhibition of Arab news agencies which will depict the most prominent images and works that reflect the development achieved in regional countries and the progress accomplished by some countries with regard to urban and economic development, expressing the hope that FANA conference would result in the aspired cooperation among Arab news agencies.
