(MENAFN- QNA) The State Qatar will take part in the 36th King Abdul-Aziz International Contest for Holy Quran Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation at the Holy Mosque in Makkah Al-Mukarramah which will start today and continue for eight days.
The State of Qatar will be represented at the contest by Abdullah Hamad Salem Al Sharidah in the category of Holy Quran complete memorization with tajweed and Ahmed Abdul Rashid Sheikh Ali Al-Soufi, in the category of fifteen parts. They will compete with 138 contesters from 59 countries.
The State of Qatar will also take part in the 5th training course of the arbitration skills as part of events accompanying the contest. Muaz Ahmed Al Qassemi, Chairman of the Education Section at the Holy Quran and one of the imams of the mosque of Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab will represent Qatar at the Course.
The State of Qatar is keen to participate in the Holy Quran contests which emphasize the efforts of the State to take care of the Holy Quran and its memorizers on all levels.
