GZA GeoEnvironmental promotes John P. Hartley to Senior Principal

 GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm announces that John P. Hartley of Bristol Rhode Island has been promoted to Senior Principal.
Hartley serves as GZA’s New England Regional Operations Officer and has been with the firm for nearly 30 years.  His areas of specialization are environmental studies and remedial investigations the development of environmental clean-up programs and client support related to environmental regulatory issues.  He also has served two terms on GZA’s Board of Directors.
Hartley’s previous experience prior to joining GZA includes four years serving as an Engineer/Senior Engineer with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) Division of Air and Hazardous Materials.  He has also worked with the Minnesota Department of Health the National Marine Fisheries Service and the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography.
Hartley earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Health from the University of Minnesota.

His professional activities include the Rhode Island Society of Environmental Professionals and numerous RIDEM Regulatory Advisory Committees.
