Saudi- Mehran Pakhtoon in RCL Power Zone T20 final showdown
(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: Mehran and Pakhtoon Khawah will fight it out for top honors in the Power Zone Super League Twenty20 final organized by the Riyadh Cricket League and played at the RCL complex here.
In the semifinals Mehran got the better of Super Cricket Club by 22 runs while in the other encounter Pakhtoon Khawah had it easy against Mughals with a 94-run victory.
In the Premier League I Gujranwala will clash with Royal Fighters while in Premier-II Insaf will cross swords with Black Caps.
Both the Premier-I encounters were thrilling affairs. Gujranwala scored a nine-run victory over OSN and in the other semi Royal Fighters beat JAMIAA by 5 wickets.
Black Caps scored an exciting five-run win over Maestro in the Premier-II while Insaf eased past Shaheen Strikers by 48 runs.
The highlight of the day was a superb ton by Madani of Royal Fighters. Other batsmen who impressed for their respective teams were Basharat Alam Naveed Amir Tahir and Jabir.
Fakhar Kashif Sajjad Suhail Zeeshan Sanaullah and Imran stood out will their bowling performances.
In the first semis of the Super League Mehran batted first and after early setbacks Alam Khan (46) and Basharat Shah (45) steadied the rocking boat. Later Asad Khan (24) and Fakhar (24) propped up rear and gave their team a fighting total of 196 runs. Kashif (3) and Fareedullah (2) were the main wicket takers for the bowling side.
In reply Super tried to make a fight of it but fell and short and managed 173 runs. Noman Mirza and Shahid provided a good start. However the middle order crumbled except Shoaib who scored an unbeaten 41 runs. Fakher (3) Basharat (2) and Ibrahim (2) did most of the damage.

Pakhtoon Khawah beat Mughals by 94 runs.
Elsewhere Pakhtoon made first use of the track and put up a decent 210. Naveed was in his element and slammed 71 runs.
Arshad (18) Khalid (24) and Sulman (41) were the others who contributed. Sajad took 3 wickets while Sami took 2.
In reply Mughal collapsed for 116 runs. Khurram and Sami were the only batsmen who could reach double figures. Farman and Naveed took 2 wickets.
