Garuda Indonesia's loss hits USD206.4m in Q3


(MENAFN) Garuda Indonesia airlines announced logging a loss of USD206.4 million in the July-September period, on increasing price of fuel that contributes to 40 percent of the firm's operational cost, Xinhua reported.

The cargo planned to take effective moves to respond to the losses, including stopping the operation of old planes and postponing the delivery of new planes it has ordered from foreign manufacturers.

"Garuda would also postpone the opening of new international flight services, stop services to destinations," Garuda Indonesia President Director said in a statement.
