EU to lose USD1.2t over Russian sanctions

(MENAFN) European Union member states are expected to lose USD1.2 trillion if they keep pursuing the sanctions policy against Russia, local media reported, according to QNA.

A Russian economic advisor said that "The practice of applying sanctions against Russia can eventually negatively affect the EU states themselves."

He added that the Eurasian integration may become a good alternative for economic cooperation with Europe, saying that "It is aimed at reducing the West's influence on all our countries."

However, he confirmed that the economies of European states have recently seen a "catastrophic fall" contrasting with Beijing's growing wealth and economic power.
