UAE's Etihad's passenger number up 55 percent in H1


(MENAFN) Etihad Airways said that it has registered an increase on its Indian routes during the January-June period of this year by 51 percent compared to the same period last year, with more than 620.000 passengers flying on the carrier's services, Gulf News reported.

Due to this substantial increase, the national carrier of the UAE announced it is planning to add three daily flights to Delhi and Mumbai during the first half of next year, which will help provide its travelers with more choices as well as increase the connectivity to these two important Indian cities.

The carrier, which currently services both cities with double-daily frequencies, said the third daily flight to Mumbai will be starting on February 15, while the new flight to New Delhi will commence on May 1
