Bahraini SICO net profit surges 110 percent in 9M


(MENAFN) Bahrain's Securities and Investment Company (SICO) announced it has registered an increase by 110 percent in its net profit to reach USD18.06 million for the January-September period of this year, compared with USD8.59 million for the corresponding period in 2013, Gulf Daily News reported.

During the first nine months of this year, the company's operating income grew by 64 percent to reach USD30.92 million compared with USD18.85 million for the same period last year.

For the July-September period of this year, SICO's net profit registered an increase by 30 percent to USD4.66 million, compared with USD3.58 million for the same period in the previous year, while its operating income grew by 27 percent to USD9.17 million compared with USD7.19 million for the third quarter of last year.

"I am delighted to report that SICO has continued to produce excellent financial performance despite ongoing market volatility, with substantial increases in operating income and net profit," Chairman of SICO said.
