Kuwait- Gulf Nations Cup improves football performance, says minister
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah hailed the Gulf Nations Cup's role in improving football performances on the regional, continental and global scales.
He spoke of his joy over the sports congregation in its 22nd edition while speaking to reporters just before departing to Riyadh to attend the event which starts the following day.
He also paid homage to the competition as being dear to the people of the Gulf.
Kuwait TV will be broadcasting the football event, while also providing in-depth daily analysis of its matches, he affirmed.
Kuwait is the most nation to have won the coveted regional title on no less than 10 occasions, followed by Saudi Arabia and Iraq with three apiece.
