First Aid Tips for Suicide Prevention is a Must

Nov. 12 – In just a week Dr. Michael G. Rayel and his co-author Danielle Rayel will release First Aid Tips for Suicidality: Recognizing and preventing suicide in four essential steps.
As a complication of mental illness suicide is so prevalent. And people who go through mental health issues and stresses are vulnerable. WHO data showed that about 800 000 people commit suicide globally. In 2011 one person every 13 minutes committed suicide in the USA. About 50% of those used firearms as the method of choice especially among males. In Canada (2009) there were 11.5 suicides for every 100 000 and the most common method for males was by hanging.
With this disturbing trend suicide awareness is vital. “First aid approaches to recognize suicidality and to implement useful easy-to-apply strategies are crucial" Danielle a psychology graduate at McGill University asserts.

Dr. Rayel states “Suicidality may be an eventual outcome when depression mood instability or psychosis become worse. As well serious alcohol and substance abuse put individuals at risk.”
