Muriya promotes 'Destination Oman' at World Travel Market


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muriya Oman's leading tourism development company recently exhibited at the World Travel Market 2014 the leading global event for the travel industry to develop and create more business with global tour operators and travel agencies.

Building on a successful 2014 season and to further promote tourism in Oman Muriya showcased the latest developments at its Jebel Sifah and Salalah Beach destinations the two largest Integrated Tourism Complexes (ITCs) in the sultanate while highlighting the country's potential to attract tourists from all over the world.

'Our main goal of exhibiting at World Travel Market 2014 is to attract the world to 'Destination Oman'' said Bahaa Hefzallah marketing director at Muriya. 'Leading the way in the ITCs business we has been raising awareness on what our developments have to offer and of course what Oman has to offer as an exciting year-round destination. We explored long-term productive business-to-business deals within key target-markets in Europe and Asia which will be instrumental in increasing Oman's exposure and attract more leisure and business tourists.'

Salalah Beach features the five-star Salalah Rotana Resort the largest single hotel in Oman with 400-keys in addition to Juweira Boutique Hotel offering 82 guest rooms. The destination also comprises freehold apartments and villas to date 77 units have been handed over. In addition to a 200-berth marina a number of recreational commercial and retail outlets opened in the destination including the Salalah based small and medium enterprise 'Around the Ocean' offering water activities and the worldwide diving tour operators 'Extra Divers'.

As for Jebel Sifah it also features freehold apartments and villas with 82 handed over to date. In addition a 150-berth inland marina with a variety of restaurants cafés and retail venues are part of the destination. Muriya introduced the first of six hotels planned Sifawy Boutique Hotel offering 55 luxurious guest rooms and suites while work in an 18-hole PGA standard golf course is underway.
