S. Korea's jobless rate at 3.2 percent in October

(MENAFN) A government report showed that South Korea's unemployment rate remained unchanged in October, while the pace of job creation slowed to a four-month low, QNA reported.

The world's second-largest economy's jobless rate stood at 3.2 percent last month, while the seasonally adjusted jobless rate also remained stable at 3.5 percent in the month.

The number of employed people reached 25.95 million in October, up 406,000 over October 2013, marking the slowest on-year job growth since June when 398,000 jobs were added.

The slow growth was attributed partly to a large loss of jobs in the farming sector, as in October, payroll in the farming sector shrank by 146,000, down 8.3 percent from the same month last year.
