(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Kuwait men's wheelchair national basketball team clinched two back-to-back over Egypt and Italian club Torino in a friendly competition which also includes table tennis and fencing.
Kuwait edged Torino, 51-48, in a quick encounter which was only decided in the final seconds, before defeating Egypt, 55-53, in another thrilling game at the Kuwait Disabled Sports Club.
The competition will help the team prepare for the GCC Wheelchair Basketball Championship in Riyadh in December, while being an opportunity for them to brush up on their skills in both table tennis and fencing, said honorary president of the Kuwait Disabled Sports Club Sheikha Sheikha Al-Abdallah Al-Sabah.
The event continues on Wednesday with two fixtures - Egypt vs Torino and Kuwait vs. Torino - along with competitions involving the two remaining disciplines.
