John McCain: Fight Against ISIS Isn't Going As Swiftly As It Should

(MENAFN- QNA) US Senator John McCain argued Tuesday that the fight against ISIS, which includes a recent increase in US troop deployments to Iraq, isn't going as swiftly as it should.

"This sort of gradual increase and involvement that we're going through reminds me of another war a long time ago, in Vietnam when we just gradually increased our involvement," he told the (CNN).

McCain, an outspoken critic of President Barack Obama's foreign policy, said Obama's current plan will not meet the United States' goal of degrading and defeating the terrorist group, saying more trainers and special forces are needed.
