Qatar- Katara signs deal with QC to promote charity work


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Katara yesterday signed a cooperation agreement with Qatar Charity aimed at promoting charitable and humanitarian work as well as community services through culture and the arts.

Based on the agreement Katara will be hosting different programs, events and activities geared toward supporting humanitarian and charitable causes.

Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, said the agreement is a continuation of a series of other agreements signed by Katara with institutions and charitable organizations locally and internationally to enhance humanitarian services to needy and affected communities.

He lauded Qatar Charity for its development and charity projects locally and internationally that respond to the need of the people suffering from disasters and war.

Qatar Charity CEO Yousef Ahmad Al Kuwari said, "We are pleased to sign this agreement with Katara, an institution that has cemented local and global presence attracting many visitors for the various activities it hosts."

Al Kuwari said the agreement enhances social responsibility of institutions particularly in the areas of education and culture and service to families and the youth. He said Qatar Charity has been keen in creating partnerships with other bodies concerned with humanitarian, social, cultural and educational aspects.
