Saudi- Siemens highlights strategy values at KAUST Career Fair
(MENAFN- Arab News) Siemens participated in the KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) Career Fair 2014 to strengthen university relations explore career prospects with students and consider potential in R&D.
Siemens which explained its strategy and values to students and staff is a founding member of the KAUST Industrial Collaboration Program (KICP).
KAUST is a graduate research university in Thuwal on the Red Sea. It has a diverse graduate student body that continues to attract develop and invest in top local and international talent. The university offers intellectual fulfillment with a clear focus on integrating research and education leveraging science and engineering as well as facilitating the Kingdom's economic diversification through technological development.
With a history spanning more than 80 years in Saudi Arabia Siemens is positioned along the electrification automation and digitalization value chains.
Siemens' commitment to education and technological advancement in the Kingdom resonates with that of KAUST hence the decision to participate at the KAUST Career Fair on Oct. 22 and 23.
Waleed Hefni head of HR said: 'Our decision to participate this year and in previous years is business focused. Companies are competitive through people and this career fair provides an opportunity to engage among the best.'
The two-day event attended by more than 350 students included a comprehensive program wherein Siemens provided an overview of the company's strategy Vision 2020 responded to questions from students in a panel discussion and hosted several candidates in pre-arranged interviews. In addition relationships with key senior staff at KAUST were initiated.
