China's inflation grows 1.6 percent in October

(MENAFN) According to the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the country's inflation grew 1.6 percent over the same period a year ago in October, QNA reported.

The growth was similar to that registered in the month of September, which marked the lowest since January of 2010, the NBS said in a statement on its website.

On a monthly basis, October's inflation was flat against the previous month, compared with September's 0.5 percent increase, according to China's (Xinhua) News Agency.

Meanwhile, on an annual basis, the inflation grew 2.1 percent over the same period last year in the first 10 months, well below the 3.5 percent full-year target set by the government.
