APEC leaders to create new free trade area
(MENAFN) Leader of about 21 Asia-Pacific economies are planning to create a new free trade area "as early as possible" in order to improve integration in the region, local media reported, according to Kyodo News.
The leaders "reaffirm our commitment" to the free trade initiative known as a Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific "as a major instrument to further APEC's regional economic integration agenda".
The final decision will be released following a two-day summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation in Beijing.
