UAE- Ras Al Khaimah resident dies as car rams camels


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Yusuf Mohamed Al Tunaiji a father of four children was heading to work when the accident happened a police source said.

Ras Al Khaimah: A 34-year-old Emirati man from Al Rams city in Ras Al Khaimah succumbed to grave injuries he suffered after his car rammed two stray camels in the Western Region (Al Gharbia) of Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

Though the doctors tried five times to resuscitate him he could not make it and died in the hospital. The body was brought to Al Rams and buried. In another incident a young Asian man succumbed to fatal injuries he received after a car ran over him while crossing the Muntasir road in Ras Al Khaimah late on Tuesday. He was crossing the road from a non-designated area. Statistics show that run-over and overturning constituted 64 per cent of the fatal accidents on the emirate’s roads last year.
