Korean Air logs net loss of USD361.3m in Q3

(MENAFN) Korean Air reported a net loss of USD361.3 million in the third quarter, attributing it to a weak currency that increased the value of its dollar-denominated debts, AFP reported.

The net loss for South Korea's top air carrier in the July-September period compared to a net profit of USD301.49 million a year earlier, the company said in a statement.

However, operating profit surged 50.3 percent to USD216.36 million due to falling fuel prices, the company said, adding that sales edged down 0.6 percent to USD2.84 billion.
