New executive prog. for Kuwait, Egypt MoU on environment


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A new executive program has been added to the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kuwait and Egypt in the field of environment and environment protection, in which the first executive program had been implemented, a Kuwaiti official said Sunday.

The deal was reached here today during a meeting between Kuwaiti Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Ali Al-Omair and Egyptian Minister of Environment Dr. Khaled Fahmy, Acting Director-General of Kuwaiti Environment Public Authority (EPA) Rajaa Al-Busairi told KUNA.

The new agreement will include a number of significant cooperation fields, through which expertise in the field of building national capabilities will be exchanged between the two countries, Al-Busairi said, adding that the deal's details are to be agreed upon in the forthcoming period.

Al-Busairi praised outcomes and resolutions that were issued at the conclusion of the 26th session of the Arab ministers responsible for the environment, held here, indicating that several resolutions put out aimed at boosting joint Arab action in the field of environment protection.
