Two guards, assailant killed in attack on Sudanese Presidential Palace
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Sudanese Presidency announced that two presidential guards were killed when a mentally deranged person carrying a sword attacked them and tried to enter the republican palace via the western gate.
The assailant tried to force his way through the gate and when denied by the guard he attacked and killed the guard by his sword. He then took away the rifle from the killed guard and fired at another, killing him as well, the presidency said in a press statement said.
The military guards at the gate have then moved in and shot the man dead.
