District cooling plant for housing complex
(MENAFN- Arab News) Dubai-based contractor Drake & Scull Engineering has announced that it has won a contract to build a district cooling plant for a housing complex in Abu Dhabi.
The residential complex has 1357 units ranging from one-bedroom to four-bedroom apartments along with double-story executive villas.
Drake & Scull will design and build a district cooling plant with five chillers of 2500 tons of refrigeration (TR) capacity under this deal.
Work on the plant has already begun and it is scheduled to be delivered in Q4 2015 the company said in a statement.
Upon completion the district cooling plant will have a net production capacity of 12 500 TR the statement added.
Drake & Scull will also carry out all related civil mechanical and electrical work for the project.
'We are excited to note a resurgence in the UAE's construction sector this year and anticipate a sustained momentum as we head toward the last quarter of 2014' said Ahmad Al-Naser managing director of Drake & Scull Engineering.
