Ethiopian PM, Sudanese President Hold Talks


(MENAFN- QNA) Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn on Thursday held talks with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, currently on a visit to Addis Ababa to take part in the emergency meeting of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) on the settlement of the conflict in South Sudan.

Speaking to Sudanese radio today, Desalegn said the two sides discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation on all fronts, particularly in the political, economic and security affairs.

He expressed his country's keenness on boosting trade exchange with Sudan and expanding areas of strategic partnership in investment.

As for the summit on Friday, Desalegn said it will be the last one to discuss South Sudan's conflict and deciding on potential peaceful solutions.
