Iran exports USD1.2b worth of iron ore, steel


(MENAFN) According to the Iranian Ministry of Industries, Mines and Trade, the country has exported iron ore, iron and steel products worth USD1.2 billion during March 21-September 22, Iran Daily reported.

In the same period, the value of Iran's iron ore granules with a purity of less than 40 percent amounted to USD497 million and accounted for 3 percent of the total exports.

During this period, Iran exported USD411 million worth of steel and iron products accounting for 2.5 percent of the country's total exports, the ministry said in a statement.

Iran's total non-oil exports, including goods, services and gas condensates, in the six months amounted to USD28.178 billion, showing an 18-percent growth on-year, or USD23.87 billion.
