Qatar, S. Korea sign 4 MoUs


(MENAFN) Qatar announced that several memorandums of understandings (MoU) were signed with South Korea in an effort to enhance the bilateral trade between the two countries during the last visit of the Emir of Qatar to the country, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

These memorandum of understandings included one which focused on the cooperation in the field of health care and medical sciences, including areas of cooperation in alternative medicine, modern techniques, medical equipment for health care, alternative medicine, e-health and medical and pharmaceutical policies and researches.

The Qatar Central Bank signed two memorandums of understanding with the Bank of Korea, with the first one aiming at documenting and promoting cooperation efforts in areas related to the practices of central banks, exchange of information on monetary policy, financial stability, payment system and other activities of central banks.

While the second one signed between the central banks focused on cooperation in the field of information technology and communications between the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology of Qatar and the Ministry of Science and Information Technology, Communication and Future Planning of Korea.

The last MoU, which was signed by Qatar Investment Authority and the Office of the Prime Minister of Korea, focused on joint cooperation for investments in third world countries.
