Oman, UAE sign consumer safety pact


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman and UAE have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expedite legal and technical cooperation in the field of consumer protection.

Mohammed Ahmed al Shehhi Undersecretary for Economic Affairs in UAE's Ministry of Economy and Dr Said bin Khamis al Kaabi chairman of the Public Authority for Consumer Protection signed the MoU.     

Shehhi said the MoU will facilitate exchange of knowledge and best practices for the benefit of consumers in both countries. 

Affirming that the MoU will allow for a better exchange of information studies and expertise Kaabi pointed out that as a key outcome of the agreement consumers in UAE and Oman will gain access to useful information related to prices of commodities.
