China plans to boost robotics industries

(MENAFN) China plans to expand robotics industry technologies in order to be more competitive by 2020, China's Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology said, QNA reported.

The best equipment manufacturing, represented by robots, is a significant standard for evaluating a nation's core industrial competence. The robotics sector can also contribute to helping manufacturers improve their product quality and deal with rising costs.

The country, as it had a late start in robotics, must take action in order to catch up with competitors, he said. The robotics sector in China is currently dominated by foreign firms, with only 3 percent of robotics technologies being successfully utilized, local media reported.
