The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre in association with Watani Al Emarat Foundation has launched a short film featuring a unique composition of the UAE National Anthem. The video focuses on maritime heritage drawing inspiration from the history of diving and searching for pearls.

The project took over a year to complete and more than 30 people were involved in shooting and editing the video montage to go with the new version of the national anthem which was composed by a well-known Emirati composer Professor Ibrahim Juma.

Obaid Rashid Al Falasi Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Watani Al Emarat Foundation said “This project aims to revive maritime heritage which is one of the most important elements imprinted in the UAE’s history. The magnificent flag of the nation flies high distinctive from the rest of the world combining Bedouin Arab traditions with the ancient practices of mariners worldwide which were instrumental to developing the diving industry and building its prosperity for generations to come.” -muazkhaleejtimes.com
