OIC calls for restoration of order in Burkina Faso


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Sunday called for restoration of calm and order in Burkina Faso.

OIC Secretary General Iyad Madani called on all parties in the African country to participate in a constructive and comprehensive dialogue in order to pave way for a peaceful transitional period.

Madani, in a statement, called for preservation of national unity and avoiding any act that would undermine security of Burkina Faso, which joined the OIC in 1974.

He said the OIC was ready to provide full backing towards restoration of democracy.
