Kuwait- Interior Min. arrives in Monaco for INTERPOL General Assembly


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah arrived in Monaco Sunday to participate in the 83rd INTERPOL General Assembly meeting, due on November 3-7.

Sheikh Mohammad was received by Kuwait's Ambassador to France Ali Al-Saeed.

The minister, speaking to reporters before leaving Kuwait earlier, said the importance of the INTERPOL meeting stemmed from the fact that it came amid security situations and developments on regional, Arab and international arenas.

The meeting is part of world coordination and cooperation for fighting terrorism, organized crime, drugs and modern crimes, he said.

Stability and security are the main pillar for achieving economic and social development and progress, the minister pointed out.

Sheikh Mohammad voiced hoped conferees would come up with recommendations and resolutions to address risks and challenges haunting the region and world.
