(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby discussed on Saturday with UN Special Envoy to Libya Bernardino Leon political and security developments in Libya, and part of efforts to get Libya out of the political crisis it currently faced.
Al-Araby stressed that efforts by the UN envoy must take into account the legitimacy of the Libyan Council of Representatives and the Libyan designated government. a league statement said.
The League's chief praised Leon's efforts to find a solution to the Libyan crisis, and to put an end to the armed conflict between various parties.
The UN envoy expressed hope that all parties involved reach an agreement within weeks.
