Egypt FM, UN envoy discusses Libyan crisis


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed Saturday with UN Special Envoy to Libya Bernardino Leon developments in Libya and efforts to push forward the political dialogue with all parties, and to denounce violence and terrorism.

Ambassador Bader Abdulaati, the spokesman for Egyptian foreign ministry, said that the two men tackled ways to find the mechanism needed for a role to neighboring countries to Libya, and enable the legitimate Libyan institutions bring back security and stability.

The spokesman added that the Egyptian minister briefed the UN envoy on Egypt's efforts in supporting Libya in building its institutions and capabilities.

During the meeting the two sides agreed to coordinate and to consultation on the Libyan crisis.

On his part, Leon expressed appreciation and thanks to Egypt's efforts and support to UN efforts on the Libyan crisis.
