Smuggled Weapnons Shipment Seized in Aden


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Sanaa October 24 (QNA) - Yemeni Interior Ministry said that security forces on Thursday seized a shipment of smuggled weapons destined for the country.



In a statement Monday the ministry said security forces at the container port in Aden south of the country seized more than 514000 cartouche in addition to 228.600 projectiles of containers coming from abroad.



The statement noted that the container was seized while security authorities continued measures to arrest those involved in this shipment in preparation for referring them to the legal proceedings.



Yemen has witnessed in the past two years regular smuggling of weapons. Authorities managed to seize a lot of shipments at a number of seaports.(QNA)
