DWHC 2014 operetta successfully reflects true Emirati culture and heritage enthralling large audience


(MENAFNEditorial) UAE, October 30, 2014 – Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, international dignitaries, renowned global chefs and leading sports and media personalities, an operetta was organized today (October 30, 2014) on the sidelines of the Dubai World Hospitality Championship 2014.

The operetta, which included four different shows and performances, attracted huge participation from school children, youth and Emirati artists. The show displayed a colorful canvass that successfully captured the true essence of authentic Emirati hospitality and promoted unique heritage and culture of the UAE. School children and youth performed on different traditional Emirati folk arts and dances that highlighted the UAE's rich history and its most authentic and popular cultural expressions.

The UAE singers – Balkis and Hazaa – performed the songs of the operetta, reflecting the UAE's heritage and culture amidst an extremely positive and enthusiastic atmosphere where the audience expressed their satisfaction with the performances. The championship has so far witnessed an overwhelming participation from GCC nationals along with regional and international entrants, as it celebrated the UAE's culinary traditions in front of a global audience to promote the GCC hospitality culture among future generations.

The second edition of Dubai World Hospitality Championship is organized by Za'abeel Palace Hospitality in association with the Emirates Culinary Guild and the World Association of Chefs Societies, and is supported by Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, Dubai Press Club, Emaar Properties, and flydubai. The three-day event will occupy 25,000 square meters of prime space and four halls of Dubai World Trade Centre, namely Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, 2 and 3, and the Arena Hall which has the capacity to welcome over 10,000 visitors a day.
