(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 128.05 Points (+0.94%) when the bourse closed at 13,775.89 points Wednesday.
The traded value increased to QR 956.778 million from QR 849.994 million registered Tuesday.
The traded volume today rose to 25,956,482 shares from 9,002 transactions compared to 23,004,980 shares from 8,034 transactions on Tuesday.
The market capitalization today jumped to QR 741.801 billion from Tuesday's QR 735.012 billion.
Indices of all sectors ended the day in the green zone, barring insurance index which went down slightly -0.16% to 4,078.61 points.
Telecommunications sector was the top gainer today. Its index jumped +2.58% to 1,617.09 points at close.
Industries index gained +1.31% (4,541.33 points), transport +1.12% (2,367.03 points), banks and financial services +0.76% (3,451.8 points), real estate +0.56% (2,750.51 points) and consumer goods, services +0.28% (7,246.64 points).
From the 43 listed companies, 28 made gains, seven went down and seven remained unchanged while one company's shares were not traded.
Islamic Holding share jumped +4.13% to QR 146.40, up by QR 5.80 today.
Qatar National Bank (QNB) share maintained parity today, closing at QR 217, the same value as Tuesday.
Qatar's top bank's share has steadily climbed this month from QR 200 on October 20 to move close to its 52-week high of QR 219.
The top mover today from banks, in terms of percentage gain, was Ahli Bank, up +3.54% to QR 55.50, recovering well from Tuesday's -5.8% drop to QR 53.60.
Commercial Bank of Qatar was up +1.77% to QR 74.80, Doha Bank up +1.36% to QR 59.80 while Masraf Al Rayan was up +1.35% to QR 52.50.
All real estate companies closed in the green zone today, barring Mazaya which went down -1.62% to QR 24.30.
Ezdan Holding witnessed a voluminous exchange of 11,910,331 shares from 2,012 transaction for a value of QR 245.035 million. Its share closed the day at QR 20.10, up +0.5%.
