Google is preparing for a revolutionary wireless internet service

(MENAFNEditorial)

Google is now preparing to test a brand new technology that will become the base of a wireless version of the company’s Fiber Internet service according to the telecommunications experts who have looked into the search engine giant’s regulatory filings. So what does this mean to a NYC electrician? Probably not much at present but it will mean more jobs in the future once the new technology is made available to the public.

Google filed an application with the US Federal Communications Commission to ask for permission to conduct tests in California using various wireless spectrums that include the millimeter-wave frequency to transmit large amounts of data. New York commercial electricians will most likely not affected by the tests if ever they are approved by the US FCC.

The filing by Google has been heavily redacted and it is still unclear to anyone including New York Industrial electricians what the tech giant intends to do but there are some observers who said that it signified the company’s broader goal of controlling how people connect to the Internet. The technology Google wants to test could be the foundation of the wireless connection that can be used in homes and workplaces. It would also do away with actual fiber or ground cable connections in the future.

By beaming Internet signals to homes Google will be competing against AT&T Verizon Comcast and other broadband and cable providers. It is a much cheaper and faster way to provide high-speed Internet service. It could be a threat to the oligopoly of cable telecoms. With the new technology New York residential electricians can install receivers without the need to lay wires for the Internet connection.

Millimeter frequencies can be used to transmit data over short distances at a rate of a couple of gigabits a second. The tests could lead to the possible wireless extension of Google’s Fiber network. It is also a more cost effective way of serving homes. Instead of having to install fiber to every home the company just needs to put up a pole in the area.

Google has expanded its business from being the world’s largest Internet search engine into offering consumer services such as Internet access. The company plans to provide its high-speed Internet service to more than 30 cities in the United States. New York electric contractor and other businesses in the city New York is not part of the expansion plan.

There are speculations though that the tests will just be basic research and nothing more. There are some instances in the past where Google has asked the FCC to do some tests with wireless communications. It looks like Google is just trying to be ahead of its rivals in finding out how to use millimeter frequencies. If the tech giant manages to pull it off then they can develop the next generation delivery system that can benefits out types of people from students to commercial electrician and everyone else who needs an Internet connection.
