Seattle WA (October 28 2014) - As seduction coach and author Benny Bastard compiled his new guide to dating younger women he had little idea how much opposition he`d face in having it published. His book Attract With Age: The Older Man`s Guide to Dating Younger Women was dropped by its publisher after he presented them with an early manuscript; female contractors refused to work on the book`s design and formatting because of its content; and naysayers both male and female insisted that the book was both fraudulent and offensive.
"A lot of people refused to believe that this book`s content is legitimite" said the Seattle-based author. "Women were offended by the whole idea of older men preferring younger women and men simply rejected the idea that dating younger women is possible. What they don`t realize is that there are older men out there right now dating women 10 15 or even 20 years younger than themselves - and I`m not talking about hookers."
Independent publishing turned out to be the lifeline that Benny needed with the internet giving any self-starting individual the chance to essentially become his own publishing company. Benny insists that he`s not in it for the money but rather he simply refused to defeated by an out-of-date and out-of-touch industry.
"Traditional publishers think they still have the luxury of dictating what kind of content their authors produce" says Bastard whose real name is Michael Stephens. "But the game is changing with Indie authors taking responsibility for both their content and their sales. As an Indie author I can make the decision to sacrifice some sales in favor of writing raw and authentic content. I don`t care I don`t need the money. I just want to get my work out there for the people who resonate with it."
