Las Vegas Nev. – (October 28 2014) – Across the country people are increasingly becoming addicted to prescription medications. These medications may be legal but their abuse potential is still great and has led to people to become dependent on drugs that can do real harm to them. These medications fall into three broad categories and include opioids stimulants and CNS depressants. Each medication has its special dangers and method of treatment underlining the need for obtaining special support when you find yourself addicted to a prescription drug.
Opioids
Opioids include a broad range of drugs including morphine hydrocodone codeine and Fentanyl. Many of these prescription drugs are powerful narcotics that have chemical properties similar to heroin. People using benzos and non-benzodiazepine drugs such as Ambien Nembutal Valium or Klonopin can find that the drugs start causing the same symptoms they initially took the drug for such as anxiety and severe insomnia. In addition the drugs can cause seizures muscle tremors slurred speech impair memory and even lead to overdose in the case of barbiturates. Given the difficult withdrawal featured with all of these drugs medical supervision is highly recommended to experience a successful treatment and long-term abstinence.
