Russia says Ukraine vote may help peace, fears 'nationalists'

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)  Russia's Foreign Ministry said on Monday Ukraine's parliamentary election offered a chance for peace in its east but that a high number of 'nationalists' in the chamber could undermine the process, RIA news agency reported, according to Reuters.

An initial vote count showed pro-European parties had secured a clear victory in Ukraine's parliamentary election, the first to be held since street protests ousted the country's pro-Russian leader, Viktor Yanukovich, earlier this year.
