Oman's projects market set for massive boost in 2015


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) As much as US$145bn worth of projects are currently underway or will be awarded in Oman according to MEED projects the region's leading projects tracker.

Oman's projects market is set to receive a massive boost in 2015 an influx of up to US$26bn in capital expenditure and pipeline opportunities including the latest Duqm developments valued at US$12.5bn and fisheries harbours (US$13.6bn) respectively.

These and other project opportunities will be the focus of the three-day MEED Oman Projects Forum 2014 which will be held with the support of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry from Monday at the Al Bustan Palace a Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

'MEED's Oman Projects Forum 2014 presents a detailed overview of the sultanate's economy the priority sectors and budget for the coming years. It provides an insight into the Omani planned budget and a sector-by-sector analysis by value stages and timelines. It is an important meeting for those interested in gaining a foothold in or winning a bigger share of Oman's projects' said Edmund O' Sullivan chairman MEED Events organisers of the forum.
