UAE's Mohamed bin Zayed, Rwanda's pres. mull further cooperation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Crown Prince of UAE's Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Sunday discussed with visiting Rwandan President Paul Kagame several issues of common interest.

Both sides focused on the ways of strengthening and developing cooperation to serve the common interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples, said a statement carried by UAE's news agency (WAM) Sunday.

During the meeting, which was attended by Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the two sides exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern, and important areas of bilateral cooperation, the statement added.

Sheikh Mohamed, who is also Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, stressed that the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen on strengthening cooperation with African countries, notably in the development and economic domains.

For his part, Kagame expressed his country's interest in establishing better relations with the UAE and benefiting from its economic and development expertise.
