Egyptian Apaches attack terrorist hotbeds N. Sinai


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Egyptian army said Sunday its Apache gunships launched several attacks on suspected terrorist hotbeds in Al-Areesh and Sheikh Zuwayed towns in North Sinai Governorate.

The military operation destroyed a number of arms caches and vehicles belonging to terrorist elements, according to a military statement.

President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi announced a three-month state of emergency in North Sinai, yesterday one day after dozens of military personnel were killed in a terrorist attack on a military checkpoint in Al-Qawadis area.
