(MENAFN- QNA) An earthquake measuring four on the Richter scale jolted Firouzabad Township in Iran’s central Fars province Saturday evening, Iran's News Agency (IRNA) reported.
Shiraz Seismography Network of the Geophysics Institute of the University of Tehran has registered the quake at 28.58 degrees longitude and 52.68 degrees latitude.
There has still been no report on the probable material damage, or loss of life due to this mid-strong earthquake.
Forouzabad Township is located at a 93 kilometer distance to the southwest side of the provincial capital city of Shiraz.
