Amazon logs loss of USD437m in Q3


(MENAFN) Amazon.com logged a loss of USD437 million in the July-September period, compared to a loss of USD41 million registered in the same period last year, Arab News reported.

However, Amazon's sales amounted to USD20.58 billion in the third-quarter period of 2014, a 20 percent increase over to the same quarter last year, the firm's chief financial officer said.

The US e-commerce giant has been spending a huge amount of money on various projects, including USD1 billion to acquire video game platform Twitch in last August.
