(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal Saturday met with the US special envoy for the global coalition countering ISIL, General John Allen, and the delegation accompanying him.
Both men discussed the current efforts exerted by the coalition members, including some Arab countries, to combat terrorism and reviewed cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the US as well as issues of common interest, Saudi Press Agency.
The coalition warplanes are launching airstrikes against the sites of Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant's (ISIL) militants who seized many areas in Iraq and Syria. According to recent media reports, scores from ISIL militants have been killed in Iraq.
