UN Secretary General's Envoy arrives in Yemen


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen Jamal Benomar has arrived in the Yemeni capital to follow up implementation of the GCC initiative, its executive measures, and UN Security Council's resolutions, official media reported Saturday.

During his current 34th visit to Yemen, Benomar is to meet with President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and various Yemeni political leaders to discuss latest developments on the Yemeni arena, Yemen News Agency (SABA) said.

Meanwhile, a team of experts, affiliated with the UNSC Sanctions Committees, is scheduled to arrive to Sanaa on Sunday after it determined five persons undermining the political transitional process in the country, including Ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Abdulmalek Al-Houthi, leader of Houthis rebels, noted SABA.
